CLEVELAND - After the way things started for the fans in Cleveland this week, it wasbreath of fresh air to see the Indiansplaying ball in 60 degree weather at game time. Although there Bo Jackson Jersey was justa slight delay, first pitch wasthrown at 6:22 pm.Jose Ramirez made his first appearance of the season getting on with a 1-out single to center in the first. Second baseman Jason Kipnis drove him in with a deep RBI double to right center, giving the Tribe a 1-0 lead.Carlos Santana extended that lead after hitting a bomb to center on a 3-1 count, scoring Kipnis and Mike Napoli (walked), putting the Indians ahead 4-0 in thesame inning. The Red Sox didn't waste any time, as Travis Shaw singled to left and Brock Holt sent one over the right field wall to cut the Indians lead to 4-2 in the top of the second.Scroll to ContinueTyler Naquin would get his first career hit, a single to right, in the home half of the inning and would score on another single by Ramirez, pushing the Alcides Escobar Jersey Tribe ahead 5-2. Carlos Carrascohad settled in for the Indians and was cruising right along until he ran into Davird Ortiz and Hanley Ramirez in the 6th. Ortiz and Ramirez went back-to-back with the deep ball putting an end to Carrasco's night and making it a one-run game. Ro s Detwiler would come in to relieve Carrasco, but didn't fare much better. Detwiler let the first batter he faced, Chris Young, to double to left. He walked the next two batters before Jackie Bradley Jr sac flied to center to tie the game up. Zach McAllister would relieve Detwiler to face Mookie Betts,who grounded out to third and scored Holt giving the Sox a 6-5 lead. With Neo Ramirez in to pitch for the Sox in the 6th, Yan Gomes walked to lead off the inning followed by a single to right from Marlon Byrd.Juan Uribetied the game on a sac fly to center scoring Gomes to make it 6-6. The Sox would never score again, and it was Mike Napoli who liftedthe Indians to victory with a solo shot to the bleachers in the Mike Moustakas Jersey 7th. Your Cleveland Indians got their first win of the season with a final score of 7-6, and that's something we can all dance about.
